A Note Regarding Sub Boxes

While one of my main goals is to review (mainly girly) sub boxes, I'll also be reviewing pet based sub boxes because, well, I love dogs and cats. I have 3 and 2 respectively. Yes, I'm a fashion addicted, sub box hoarding, former Neuroscience student and academic researcher who loves animals!! So, yes I'll try to review a variety of boxes and give them a fair and unbiased opinion but here's the stickler:

I WILL NEVER REVIEW SHAM BOXES!

I tend to research the companies I'm associated with (as a client, etc.) and MakeupTalk is a great place to find out whether a sub box has any weird issues you should be on the lookout for. Also, please don't trust so-called 'companies' that only operate from a facebook page or some weird 90's looking site or if their owner/proprietor spins out stories to garner pity instead of facing issues head-on. Furthermore,

DON'T BUY KNOCK-OFFS!!

Some 'companies' claim to send out full-size Chanel, Dior, Givenchy, etc. for, say, $30/month. THAT JUST DOESN'T HAPPEN. First of all, none of these companies would ever willingly associate with some little company run out of someone's basement and most IMPORTANTLY: it would be economically unfeasible to ever get multiple full size luxury items sold in a box for that amount! You're not getting a bargain, you're getting fleeced! These are people that buy ebay lots from typically overseas manufacturers (especially China) of knock off cosmetics. They're made with undisclosed ingredients and can not only be horrible to use, they can physically harm you.

So, to anyone who stumbles upon this blog, please research the box you want to subscribe to and remember these adages that continue to be oh so very true:

If it's too good to be true, it usually is.

Common sense isn't so common.

There's no such thing as a free lunch.

They're all commonly heard and cliché but they continue to be true. It isn't hard to make sure the people you're giving your hard earned cash are legit (too legit to quit would be the best level of legit jsyk).

I might mainly review those that are considered 'big boxes' but this is because I'd rather take a chance on companies with some sort of established history and customer base than some creeper's facebook page that tries to squeeze cash out of unsuspecting women.


Please, ladies of the world, be aware of what you're getting yourselves into (this is also true in fucking everything!) and you have to know if you want to be all fancy n' shit (like I obviously am), then you can't cheat at it by getting crappy knockoffs, either save and buy the good stuff or find good budget dupes until you can. Don't be that loser that thinks she's got it going on but that every other girl knows she's wearing fashion bug (do they still exist?) level clothing while having an attitude.


All right. PSA out. Time to get down and get freaky and maybe take fatbot to Tijuana to get laid (if no one gets this, my soul will shed a tiny little tear of sadness).
