Coco Rocha x Fancy Box, Glossybox, Fabfitfun, Ipsy, Birchbox March and April

Yes, I haven't been able to post much due to my move and the fact that the mail messed everything up (except for my Sample Society box that I was actually able to hold at the UPS office and pick up myself) so now I have no boxes! My glossybox is in Timbuktu for all I know since it went off the grid after the 28th and there's no estimated delivery time and fabfitfun's VIP box suffered a similar fate thanks to Fedex shitpost. Furthermore, the FFF debacle deserves it's own post due to the extremely disappointing boxes (bloggers got awesome, people that paid got utter shit) and a complaint led to me only giving them another chance because I was offered the next box for free. Hopefully, they'll stop with the giving famous bloggers gold and giving paying consumers the equivalent of  cat shit (and not the fancy coffee kind!) but we'll see.

The other boxes, well I'm waiting for them to charge tomorrow night and I know KNOW that Popsugar Must Have will charge me at the most inconvenient time but since I'm veritably obsessed with their box, they know that I'll sell a kidney before canceling my sub. Oh and the Coco Rocha x Fancy Box seems to be going the way of Pink's box what with my getting an email saying the boxes would be 'a few days late' (aka I'll probably be paying for next month before I get this box!) and if the items are as lackluster as Pink's crap box (I would never ever sub to that box anyway since I'm very much not a Pink fan) then I'll be very very sad.

For now, I'll just wait for the charges to start coming in and the the cycle of hope, excitement and inevitable disappointment to begin all over again.

Damn these boxes be stressful ;)

My Julep April Selections and why even this box will be late!!!!

Julep  is all about brights for April and I am so onboard. The selection period overlapped with my no internet period and I kid you not, I hauled ass to Starbucks to use their free wifi just to find out what was being offered and what I would order. Suckily enough, (yes, I know that's not a real word!) I was too late to upgrade to the entire collection since that option was already sold out on the 21st. However, I still went for my 'it girl' and added the dry shampoo (an obsession of mine) and the rock candy 'Candy' nail glaze.

The lovely items I now have to wait even longer to get.

I was a happy camper. I placed my order and was charged on the 27th as per usual. Until! Until I get an email saying that my payment couldn't be processed. I immediately check my transactions and see that there is indeed a charge for my box. Howeverrrr, it seems that I hadn't updated my address (I had tried to do so but then the card wouldn't go through so I assumed the address hadn't been updated and then forgot) and my billing address didn't match what they had on file! So now I get to wait even longer for my box (I would've, no shit, gotten it in 2-3 had everything been fine) since they'll have to charge again (apparently pending charges don't count even though that cash is gone until the bank feels like returning it) in the middle of next week! After a week of screw ups and problems, this has got to be just one more note added to the bs machine. I just want my box!!!

That means that I'll get to suffer a little longer without my beloved boxes. I'm suffering from box withdrawal!

For now, I must wait until I actually get a box because I can't review my frustration!

Lip Factory Update

Well, this months boxes seem to be not wanting to ever get to me. After a huge shipping fiasco after moving, none of my packages are apparently being forwarded. According to USPS, they're being returned so that's awesome. NOT.

Every day I wait for the mailman for some good news but alas, nothing. Nothing!!! At this point, I'll have to review march boxes in late april if I EVER get to do it!! Anyway, there has been one good thing received at my new address and that is my replacement Korres lip color from Lip Factory! After my request for a replacement was quickly addressed and a replacement sent, it apparently got sent back to the company per the USPS' fuckery regarding my mail. So, Lip Factory were gracious enough to send another lip color to my new address and it arrived today! Crazily enough, they didn't only send the one gloss that needed to be replaced but a plastic bag (clearly sealed and direct from the company) that included 3 colors! 3!!!! That means I got not one Korres lip color but 3!! That, I shit you all not, was the highlight of today (well that and buying ice cream, it wasn't a great day tbh)

Please ignore my feeble attempt at nail art!

omg my fingers look fat!! ;P
This mini pack included Korres Raspberry Liquid Lipstick (the official name) in Fuchsia 54, Soft Pink 13, and Berry 28. I'd initially only gotten Berry 28 and I cannot say I'm not super excited to have all 3. They may be discontinued in the US but they are awesome and feel awesome on my lips. Definitely a great product. I might have to hop over to Europe to get some more when I run out!

I'm back aka Internet I love you!!!

I was gone for nearly a week thanks to my move and the fact that I had a huge mixup that made it impossible to get an internet connection in my house until today! But now, I have returned! I have returned to finally post about my spring mystery box from julep (which was nearly lost to my old and decidedly ghetto address!) and now I can talk all about the AWESOME t-shirt I purchased at my trusty and beloved target yesterday. It's called the going out t-shirt, I believe and after trying on and wearing the one I did buy, I'll be returning to target to buy another 20 in every color possible. Omg they're so comfy and perfect for spring and long!!! Yes, they're long! If you suffer from tallness or a long torso, you know how hard it is to find a good looking tshirt that doesn't cut you off at an awkward length and this tee is the answer!!! Seriously, I'm in love with it and will definitely buy at least 5 more. No joke. Ok, so as we near the end of the month, there are only a few boxes to review but I do know that fabfitfun has already shipped their box (mine is due tomorrow-ish) as well as my glossybox which is in the snail mail trail. Unfortch, I have no eta as to when I'll get these packages because of the forwarding debacle I'm suffering with right now. Seriously, my packages are getting lost and not delivered and blah blah. Such problems! No more since this is a beauty type blog not a whine about my personal issues because they piss me off so much blog. ;D

Lip Factory March Box Review Update

Last week I  got my first (and for now) only LIP FACTORY monthly subscription box. If you read my original review, you may note that I was pretty sad that many of the products in the box were from unknown brands or discontinued items. This continues to be my main issue but I do have to give Lip Factory some props.

First of all, I immediately emailed them when I noticed that my Korres lip gloss was half empty, unsealed and apparently used. To say this was upsetting, well, it would be an understatement. However, I was pleased to see that I got a quick response from the company and a bit later, a notification that my replacement color had already been sent (I've yet to receive it so I can't comment on the new Korres' state but I'm almost sure that it'll be new... hopefully). Their response was very detailed if not a bit too detailed (passionate about the company or defending themselves from implications? I'll give them the benefit of the doubt and say they just want to do a good job) and I appreciate that. Many companies will either ignore your email entirely or respond long after you stop even caring about what you emailed them about (and I'm guessing they count on this to get out of some sticky situations) but I can confidently tell all that this particular fledgling company did the right thing and responded to my query quickly and said the right things. Plus, they actually took quick action.

Second, I feel like such a bitch because omg all of the colors I got (with the exception of the opened Korres I had to trash) look great on me. I don't know if they gave out universal shades and I was lucky or if they actually pick the colors that look best on certain skin tones but every damn color looked great on me. No joke! They weren't the fanciest products but wow was I happy when I saw that no color would go to waste.

I'll update this post when I get the new Korres but it might take a bit because it'll end up being forwarded to my new address and take like an extra week to get to my hands. Ugh, moving is extra hard when you sub to so many boxes and buy a LOT of things online because I get mail nearly every day. There was no mail at my old address today and my mailman told me he received my address change (sad panda face because he is awesome as far as mailmen go) so I guess all of my incoming mail is being re-routed and I'll see it later on. Since I just realized that this post totally diverged into a mail tangent, I shall attempt to end it here. Lip Factory aren't as bad as I may have made them sound (I was into them about 60% and that has gone up to 73%) and I am considering giving them another chance after things settle down.

For now, I hope to get my new color and that all will be well. Especially since I'm always looking for new and exciting ways to spend my cash and tomorrow, I shall finally FINALLY get my March Beauty Bar Sample Society box. The one I already know has a bunch of recycled samples I hated the first time around and totally bitched to CS about but was unable to get them to send me any other box. Seriously, I would've taken ANY other box. I love this sub but you can be pretty sure that March's review won't be so pretty!

Wait-listed for Ipsy no more!!!

So, I was waitlisted for ipsy from early March and today I finally got the email I'd been waiting for! What email is this, you say? Well, clearly I speak of the fact that I am now a proud ipsy subscriber. I hadn't really considered this sub before because many people spoke about it sending out much lower end brands than other comparable boxes but I've decided to take a leap of faith. Also, I just love getting stuff in the mail. Seriously. I really do love it!

Anyhow, I'm finally a subscriber but for the April bag which means I still have a bit of a wait to go for my box but as of today, it has been added to my official 'roster' of reviewed subs starting with the April box. I always enjoy a new sub and, hopefully, this one will be no exception. Plus, I read they send out little makeup bags. Since I can never ever get enough of makeup bags, this seems like a cool little perk. If only April could come sooner..... :)

Part 3: Guess who got a free Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response Deodorant

So, this is one of the last of these, I promise! But, as I'm totally bored and tired from moving (well, supervising the moving, I don't like to sweat :0 ) I decided to do a mini post on yet another product that I got from the influenster box, the Secret Clinical Stress Response Deodorant. I noticed they were asking for blog posts reviewing said product from peeps that had survived recent #StressSweat moments. Since I did, I decided to post a mini-review just to give them love for giving me free shit. Well, my #StressSweat moment was earlier this week when I was going crazy trying to find a place and was waiting for a decision on the place I'm currently moving to. No joke, they were some of the most stressful moments I've had this year. I'm talking neuroscience finals stressful (lolll my college education seems a waste when I blog about beauty... or is it?). So, I decided to use Secret's stress response deodorant to at least keep me dry and not smelly through such difficult times.

Since, I'm so sensitive to smell, even deodorants with strong or nasty (to me) odors drive me crazy and give me migraines. Fortunately, this one didn't and more importantly, did exactly what it's meant to do. It kept me from stress sweat whilst wearing an unfortunately made of synthetic materials cardigan that made a cool day seem like I was inside a sauna.

lolll it looks like an ad but I didn't have a personal pic because used deodorant is NASTY
Anyway, I'm very happy to have gotten to experience this product especially because deodorant is one of those thing everyone uses (or should!) every day but never thinks about. This one, I had to think about to write this post and have to say that I actually do like it. I'm not obsessed with it either, it is deodorant but I'm pretty satisfied. Plus, it helped me through a stressful moment so that's cool too ;)

A series of prodcuts that I love/got for FREE! Part 2: Olay Fresh Effects Va-va-vivid

So, I'm doing a mini-series of products that I enjoy and/or have gotten for freezle (so, mainly influenster but also maybe sephora and ulta). I had to write about this particular product because my skin-care issues are extreme right now. Stress induced my house hunting and PMS'ing like crazy make my skin look like a map of breakouts and open pores. To say I freakin' hate it is underestimating my complete and utter dislike for how my skin gets around this time of the month.

Enter Olay's new line Olay Fresh Effects. I first noticed the new line in a magazine ad and thought "oh wow, Olay is trying to skew younger" and then I thought "hell yeah, more options for me!". So I rolled down to target and looked at the available products. I was reticent to get the Va-va-Vivid Set because I was strongly considering purchasing a clarisonic so I went ahead and purchased the line's moisturizer. I loved it (super light and not oily, doesn't leave my skin shiny or greasy) and to my surprise a couple of days later, I got the Influenster Sweetheart Vox-Box in the mail and this product was inside!

Yep, got this for free... ;)

I'm 100% sincere when I say that I shrieked with happiness when I saw this in the box and now after having had some time to use it, I love it even more. Definitely a budget way to keep your face looking good if you're not ready to take the plunge and into the big bucks face cleaners.

For now, I'm very happy with this but I do have a qualm. Just a little tiny one but everything can't always be sunshine and roses. What is it? Well, if you have the displeasure of accidentally getting the cleanser into your mouth, I can assure you that the taste will make you very careful to never let that happen again. Seriously, the taste was beyond gnarly but if you can manage to not get the soap into any orifices (lolllll orifice), then I think you'll be pretty happy with the results.

Buy at Olay Fresh Effects or Amazon.

Kiss ass-y post about "Not Your Mother's She's a Tease Volumizing Spray"

So, thanks to influenster, I was the recipient of a very cute and very FREE bottle of Not Your Mother's She's a Tease Volumizing Spray. I didn't expect much from it because it did some research and noticed that it isn't considered a very high end brand but I decided to try it. It was free and I have extremely flat hair. Seriously, I never worried about volume until my twenties and no joke, my hair keeps getting flatter every year.

I've been trying many a product and not the cheapie kind either but everything has it's pros and cons so I'm glad to say I was pleasantly surprised with Not Your Mother's and was able to do my quiff look (quiff! q-u-i-f-f! dirty minded ones!) with a load of volume. Seeing as the price is point is right on for someone that has to budget their ass off right now (finally found and got a place! I'm very excited but very broke... as a joke), this brand is perfect for my currently shallow pockets.

Get it! You won't regret it! (lolll I'm a huge dork and for that I apologize)
The volume is there and the smell is great (for me, at least) but there is some debate about olfactory enjoyment. I think you actually have to smell it yourself to make a decision but as a sensitive migraine getting bitch about fragrances, I can assure you it's not bad at all.

Now, I initially got a deluxe sample size from influenster but I've already ordered the regular size and am even looking at other products in the brand. Why? Because I realize that it doesn't have to be super expensive to be good and I always, ALWAYS love finding a bargain.

Do I recommend this?

Yes, yes I do. Especially if you're a fan of quiffs, victory rolls, and Bardot hair. If you don't know what those things are, get thee to google now!!!

Lip Factory March Box Review

Due to my being forced to move very soon and my doubts regarding the quality of the products sent out by Lip Factory, I went ahead and cancelled my subscription. However, I was lucky enough to get one box and now I have to say it isn't as bad as I thought it would be. Nevertheless, the brands are pretty much unknowns and/or drugstore types as well as one (edit: 3) clearly discontinued color. Yet, I love that I got that many lip products and I really would consider subbing again, especially to their all lip box (apparently only every 4 months). Shipping wise, it was incredibly quick. I was notified of the box being sent on the 12th and I got it on the 14th! Incredible considering it came all the way from Florida to California. As a basis for comparison, popsugar's must have comes to me from the same state and takes waaaaay longer (usually around 8-10 days). So, Lip Factory does score points for shipping quality and customer service (my cancellation was handled quickly and effectiently) but loses points for sending out brands that are (in my personal opinion) less than the very best.

Lip Factory's March Box

A good point brought up to me today was that this sub is perfect for a girl who can't afford to go to Sephora all of the time and/or spend hundreds of dollars on beauty products every month. Why? Because this box does have some great colors and a lot of them. So, I have to say there is nothing inherently wrong with the box and depending on your sensibilities, this could be a good choice for a sub. I do feel bad for writing it off so quickly but I will consider coming back for the next all lip product box (I think that they would benefit so much from a 'skip a month' option like Julep does).

Now, on to the item by item review:

NYX Jumbo Lip Pencil in Deep Red (709)

I filled out the beauty profile and it seems they actually listen at this sub because I got all pinks and reds (colors that I LOVE!). This NYX lip pencil is described as a burgundy red creme on the NYX website and it wears relatively well. I know that it's retail price is incredibly low but I don't mind getting this (this time, if I got this in another sub, I'm not sure I'd be so forgiving).

Retail: $4.50

Designer Skin Lip Shimmer in Perfectly Perfect

Touted as a light pink with a pearlescent sheen and a minty taste to boot, this seeming stila lip gloss dupe is cute enough. I like pink and I can't write it off before giving it a try. This brand was previously unknown to me (along with most of the brands in the box with 2 or 3 exceptions) but I'm going to be positive and high hopes abound. Plus, after doing some research, I see that there's no testing on animals and they positively '"love their furry friends" so this a HUGE plus for me.

Retail: $9.99 (according to amazon)

Be a Bombshell Lip Gloss in Kiss Off

Well, apparently this brand/gloss was previously sent out in myglam/ipsy boxes last year (?) (I haven't subbed and am actually on the ipsy wait-list right now). My gloss is a very bright pink with a seeming purplish sheen. Definitely an interesting color and it'll be fun to figure out just how I can make it work. This is another brand that I've never heard of but, again, I'm going to give it a chance.

Retail: $14.00 (approx)

LaSplash Lip Lacquer in Forbidden (14092)

A reddish pink. I've been searching for details on it everywhere and from what I've seen (different packaging, can't find the exact name), this color is almost certainly discontinued. I have super sensitive skin so I'll definitely do a patch test before trying it on my lips. I do have to say that this is why I'd rather not deal with discontinued products.

Retail: $0.00 *Discontinued*

Dermalogica Renewal Lip Complex Sample

This is a silver foil packet and the definition of a tiny sample. It'll definitely go into my random sample box where one day it may be called upon to alleviate boredom. Who knows when that day will be ;)

Retail: $0.00 *Sample* (I won't divide by the full size because samples can't be sold/re-sold thus free)

Korres Lip Gloss in Raspberry (28)

After a simple google search, it came to my attention that the lip gloss that I received was unboxed and had no seal. I might be taking a HUGE chance by trying it on so I'll probably end up trashing it. I hadn't realized this when I started the review but this is clearly a NEGATIVE. Apparently this Korres lip gloss is discontinued in the US and I was sent a gloss without any sort of seal or box that seems to be half empty. Not cool. Hopefully this is an oversight by the company and I'll be contacting them immediately. I'll post their response.

Retail: $0.00 *Discontinued, unpackaged, and apparently used*

OFRA Cosmetics Lipstick in Berry Sexy

While the OFRA cosmetics page shows a light pink, my 'berry sexy' is a very deep almost plum color. It isn't too bad and I'll definitely mix it to create a lighter color. OFRA is yet another brand I've never tried so my opinion is, as of now, is unformed.

Retail: $13.00
Extras:

Lip Factory Inc Lip Brush

A great full size lip brush. I've been in the market for one of these for a while so I really appreciate this addition.

Senna Cosmetics Lip Gloss Sample in Siren

A cute mini gloss in a pinky coral color and is officially described as metallic golden peach. It's a mini size and on sale at the brand site in the last chance section for $1.00.

A closer look

Overall:

This box has a quality vs quantity situation. There's a great quantity but the fact that most colors are discontinued or from relatively low priced brands really diminishes the quality aspect. I'm especially unhappy with the unpackaged Korres but I won't pass judgement until I get a response from the company. Again, whether to subscribe to this box is a matter of personal preference. Lip Factory does offer quick shipping, a large quantity of products, and they seem great at picking the right colors but, on the other hand, the sub is relatively pricey at $22/month and does include low cost, discontinued, and unknown brands. If you're just trying to get some new colors for your collection, then this might be for you. If you love discovering new things to buy or like mainstream brands, then this might not be the best choice. For this particular sub, you have to weigh the pros and cons. For me, this time the cons won out.

It depends on what you want. If you want lots of product and colors but don't mind discontinued or no-name brand merchandise, then yes. If you want to discover new brands colors to buy in the future and/or mainstream (aka sold at sephora or similar stores) labels, then I'd lean towards no.

Birchbox March Box Review

This month, I've been lucky enough to get a couple of boxes a lot earlier than I'm accustomed to. Usually, my birchbox isn't even shipped by the 12th much less delivered (seriously, last month I got my mix-up box around the 25th) so imagine my surprise when I got the 'your box has been shipped' email on the 8th and actually received my box on the 12th! I was so surprised and after opening the box, I was very pleasantly surprised (especially in comparison to last month's nipple lip balm aka ewwwwwww I can't even write it without feeling queasy!). I hope I get April's box this early and I hope I continue getting things I actually enjoy like this month. After reviews, I have 97 points which means that I'm 3 points away from the $10 discount! I'm going to take it slow (seriously, I have spent every ten dollar discount as soon as it becomes available) and try to build up to maybe $30 or $40 dollars so I can go crazy in the birchbox store. I really, really hope I have the willpower to actually stay on track and do it!

My March Birchbox
I have to admit that at first look, the assortment looks sort of lackluster but I can use everything and actually want to use everything included so I'm quite happy with this month.

On to the item by item review:

Whish Shave Crave Shaving Cream

This is no joke, as soon as I opened the cap and smelled this shaving cream, I knew I'd buy a full size. It smells SOOOOO good. Seriously. I'd been wondering which new shaving cream to try for my dry legs and now I have this. I'm very glad this magnificent smelling shaving cream came into my life (that sounds kind of creepy like I'm in love with it but I think you can understand what I'm getting at) and now I'm all about Whish.

Madewell for Birchbox Nail Emery Board

I really enjoy shopping at Madewell and I have a hard time with prints and especially flower prints but this emery board is a very cute addition to my springtime nail routine and it is one of the few flower printed things I don't hate. Plus, this alone is worth $5 so I know I got a good deal with this box ;) and I just received an offer from Madewell and Birchbox for $25 off of a $75+ purchase which I will try my hardest to take advantage of.

Make Face Primer SPF 30

Both the MAKE products come in a little white plastic bag emblazoned (well, more like printed but emblazoned sounds so much fancier loll) with 'make' in black letters. It is a relatively tiny sample but hopefully it's enough to let me see how much I like/ hate this particular primer. I'm still (still!) looking for a good primer (my skin seriously gets to oily and too dry at the same time and many primers either make me break out/get oil slick face OR dry up my face to sahara like conditions). I haven't tried it yet so I can't truthfully review it but points for the packaging because I like it.

Make Satin Finish Eyeshadow

This is something I loved getting. I don't think I've ever gotten a teeny little mini eyeshadow from birchbox before. The best part is that it is encased in a mini version of an eyeshadow compact and it's hard and durable not cheap and breakable and no cardboard is involved. Best of all, it's not a dreaded eyeshadow card (like the completely useless Stila card that was sent out months ago and that couldn't even be used for one full coverage application on both eyes making it effectively useless and worthless). I was sent Purple Sage, a darkish purple that I'll be applying as eyeliner because I love purple eyeliner. This sample is definitely in the plus column this month.

Nick Chavez Beverly Hills Color-Saver Sulfate Free Shampoo

While I get kinda pissed that we get shampoo samples without the accompanying conditioner, I do love to try out new shampoos. I currently have about 7 or 8 in the shower that I rotate depending on how my hair is acting that day. I've never tried any Nick Chavez (I'm assuming he's a famous hairstylist?) branded products but I'm down to try this. A very positive note is that the sample is relatively large, no tiny tube or much despised foil packet. I'll be adding this shampoo to the roster and maybe just maybe it might make it on to first or second string. We'll see ;)

Overall:

I really like this box. I plan to use everything included and I'm elated about the lack of crappy foil packets and skin products or perfume samples. I feel like birchbox really stepped it up this month and I definitely feel like what I got was worth the $10 I paid. I feel lucky to have gotten and enjoyed my birchbox and my popsugar must have so early this month (in comparison to previous months because I know some of you get the boxes super early and might even consider getting the box on the 12th late) and I'm very much looking forward to next month. This sub will continue on first string for the foreseeable future.

9/10 (the 10/10 is reserved for absolute me screeching and jumping up and down perfection and/or a full size product that is not only full size but awesome)

Yes. There have been some off months and the foil packets can get VERY annoying but the brands sampled are great and they do sometimes send out full size products (full size, not deluxe sample size) plus the discounts are great.

Popsugar Must Have March Box Review

This month, my Popsugar Must Have  box was incredibly early in comparison to earlier months and got to me a couple of days ago. I hadn't updated and reviewed because I'm amidst trying to find a place to move to and having to move in less than 2 weeks so I've been incredibly distracted! However, I just HAD to review this box because it turned out to be one of my favorites. I'm pretty glad I didn't end up canceling after last month's billing debacle because they have me hooked! On to the review:

First of all, I love everything. I was hoping for a girlier month that included cute stuff and my wish was fulfilled ;) Plus, I'm beyond elated that I didn't have to deal with getting that POS Nicholas "thinks he's better than Shakespeare and Jane Austen" (seriously, look it up because this clown is fucking delusional!) Sparks books or thongs (permanent wedgies are not ideal, I'm a boyshort kind of girl). That said, I can't believe that everyone feels the same way, some people might be not as in love with the box as I am and to that I say, give it a chance because every month has some people over the moon and others practically homicidal.

The magical happy box! ;D

Here's the item by item review (with approximate retail prices if provided):

Heather Belle Signature Tassel Necklace

This is a bit of a divisive item. Some girls love it and others say it's ugly as hell, they're going to ebay it, etc. I'm on the love it side of things. It's long and long enough to be a perfect length on taller girls (finally a necklace that actually looks long on me!) It's gold with a octagon and some tassels hanging from said octagon. All gold and all cuteness. Unfortch this picture only shows the box but, trust me, it's cute and the brand isn't on the cheap end of things. I'm guessing it'd be worth at least $35-40 dollars.

The Laundress Specialty Wash- Wool & Cashmere Shampoo

This, to me, is perfect right now. I have a collection of cashmere sweaters and cardigans that need to be washed and I've been afraid to mess up and shrink them. Awesomely enough, this product has long been on my wish list but I've been too cheap to buy it. Fortunately, thanks to Popsugar, I now have a big bottle of it! Retail $19.00

Corkatoo Corkscrew

I've never really thought about corkscrews or bottle openers. I rarely drink wine and I know I have one lying around the house. Yet, when I saw this lime green and hot pink perfect melding of bird and bottle opening tool, I fell in love. Seriously. It's the cutest thing you didn't know you needed. I'm even keeping it packed up for a special occasion. Bird-tastic lol. Retail $13.99

Buxom Sculpted Lash Mascara

Full size!!! No measly samples you can get for free here! I've been buying more Buxom products lately and on my last trip to Sephora, I picked up a Buxom lipgloss in 'Leslie' (I wonder why haha). This full size mascara is cute and has an S-shaped brush that is allegedly "perfect for achieving thick, voluptuous lashes with a shaped curl". Love it like a $2 whore ;) Retail $19.00

Forgot to add, it also comes with a sephora code for a lip gloss sample. Sephora, thou are truthfully my biggest weakness.

Hollywood Fashion Secrets Sweater Saver

So, this isn't my favorite item but it is very useful. I have many a top with pilling and have never done much about it. Thanks for this weird little brick that I probably would've never purchased myself, I can make my sweaters less old & gnarly. Not the most exciting item in the box but it is pretty practical in it's uses. Retail $7.16

The New Black Nail Polish (mini 2 pack)

I was very surprised to see this as I'd not two days before purchased the new black's Seine set at Sephora. I love that I got even more of this polish because I'm a polish addict and this brand makes some great colors. I got a pair of metallics in green and blue and there are no individual names on each color though the set is labelled as 'Pardon my French'. Not ideal for me; I wish I would've gotten a neon because I have way too many greens/blues/metallics and combinations of the aforementioned but I am pretty satisfied because nail polish! Retail $? I couldn't find an exact price but seeing as the Seine set was $22 for about double the polishes (same size bottles), I'll say $~11

Special Extras:

Marshmallow Peeps

While I love yelling peeps in my highest pitch possible at random intervals in the day or on the street, I'm not an actual candy peep fan. They're too sweet and they're not chocolate. It was a cute addition considering Easter is coming up and these were quickly scarfed down by my brother so, we can all agree, they fulfilled their peep-ly destiny.

Hollywood Fashion Secrets Fashion Tape Sample Pack

Fashion tape samples for presumably keeping the boobage out of sight (or at least evading a slip of the nips). I was actually about to purchase some for my cousin's upcoming nuptials but thanks to this, I don't have to anymore. Hopefully they work or there'll be some unfortunate exposure.

Overall:

Loved everything. I rarely say that with this box but honestly, for me, this was a great month because I can use all of these products and I wanted these things before I got them. If this level of box awesomeness is kept, Popsugar can count on me as a client for the long haul.

March Box Updates: Popsugar Must Have, Birchbox, Glossybox, Sample Society

This is just an update about which boxes have been shipped or charged so you can get an idea of how and when these subs do this sort of stuff.

Popsugar Must Have  charged on the 1st of March and shipped out on Monday 3/5. This month has been especially quick and my box is slated to arrive tomorrow. Tomorrow!!!!! The review shall be posted as soon as it is. Google for spoilers but I won't give them to you. Yet.

My Birchbox was apparently shipped today (I got the email saying it had) and, again, it was way earlier than I expected. Last month, my box shipped on the 16th and got to me the 25th. Plus, I got the wrong stuff and it majorly super duper SUCKED ASS. I haven't gotten an update about what will be in my box but I sure hope that it'll be loads better than last month's because I'll cancel just from sadness!

Glossybox and Beauty Bar Sample Society have started charging. There was a mixup with my old card so I'm still waiting for them to try again. The sample society boxes are late this month and are slated to ship on the 11th but they do so through UPS so hopefully, they'll be here relatively quickly. Glossybox is also charging way earlier this month (last month was around the 16th) and with their spoiler out (a model co. cheek/lip tint!!!), I can't wait to get it.

Actually, all of the boxes seem to be on the right path to awesomeness this month. Hopefully, they will be and will continue on track to better instead of worse. I love getting surprises in the mail (why else would I buy these boxes?) but I love getting surprises that I love a lot more. I like how early the boxes are charging/shipping this month and I hope the trend does continue so I can actually know when to budget and know when I'll be charged. I really hate 'surprise' charges and abhor the 'we couldn't charge you' email so yeah, I wish they could pick a day and stick to it like my beloved Julep does (on the 27th of the month).

Coco Rocha Fancy Box

So, as noted in my previous post, this week has definitely been the new (and expensive!) sub week. Added to this growing list almost immediately was the Coco Rocha Fancy Box. As you might notice, I have a weakness for fashion and as soon as I saw this model associated with and curating a fancy box, I jumped at the chance to get one.

The Fancy's previous box collabs were definitely not my style. Ashton Kutcher is an ass and Pink is really not my style of singer (plus her box contents were incredibly lackluster considering the price) but you get a famous model to curate a box and you can be sure that I'll be all over that!!

Who doesn't think this is how the boxes are actually packed? ;D
Therefore, this sub of very expensive $47 dollars a month proportions is one to be highly considered but also really worried about because of the steep price. I have to admit I bought mine with a $25 dollar off code (25OFF3) and so I paid 21.95 for the first box (love that). I'm fucking pumped for this box and I hope it's as good as I hope it will be. Plus, the namesake model herself has been on the page answering questions herself! I even got a response to my tiny comment about loving the idea! (loll I'm starstruck by an offhand comment by a model). Get thee self to Coco Rocha's Fancy Box immediately and subscribe! Use the $25 off code and DON'T FORGET, you HAVE to have a google+ account (the box is apparently exclusive to those with google+ accounts for some weird reason).

I'd personally say yes but we have to actually SEE the first box to have a set opinion. The fact that Coco Rocha is curating this box drew me in immediately. If you have a weakness for models, then this is your sub. Plus, Rocha herself stated that this is not an exclusively girly sub (thus the menz can sub too).

FabFitFun VIP Box

This has been the week of new boxes for me. Besides the Coco Rocha Fancy Box (more on that in the next post!), I found out about the FabFitFun VIP Box through my favorite of all websites, Makeuptalk.

First of all, after some sleuthing, it has been discovered that the FabFitFun VIP Box is DEFINITELY a Popsugar Must Have competitor NOT an associate as some might have surmised. Second, it is interesting because it's 'big' name is Guiliana Rancic (of E! fame) and it apparently concentrates on 4 categories (easily discernable in the name lol): fashion, fitness, wellness, and beauty.

The introductory page is chock full of pictures of great makeup and accessories and here is a screencap of the details shown on FitFabFun Box's intro page:

So, it's a QUARTERLY (not monthly) and is $49.99 for every box, every 3 months. Apparently, a big selling point is that all of the items included in the box are full-size, not samples like the likes of birchbox or glossybox (though gb definitely has included full sizes every month) and there is a promises of lucky winners possibly winning very expensive gifts like ipad minis or designer shoes.

After signing up and paying, there is a relatively short profile quiz that asks about favorite exercise routines (I picked yoga, pilates, and cardio barre), beauty interests and skin, hair, eye colors, and top, pant, and shoe sizes. This is where it gets a bit sticky for some consumers. The top sizes listed only go up to XL and pants up to 14. Fortunately, the shoes go up to 11 (I had to pick 10.5 because yes, I have HUGE feet). So, if you are plus size, you have to be aware (better before signing up than after, am I right?) that these are the only sizes available right now and then measure whether you're willing to take the risk.

All sneak peeks for the inaugural box seem to be showing a box focusing mainly on beauty so that box is definitely all sizes but the the next box (summer?) might have clothing. One of the most interesting parts of this box is the fact that the inaugural box is touted as having a value of approximately $120 AND includes a full size of Moroccan Oil, and also apparently a zoya nail polish (not a huge fan but I'll try it):

Honestly, I'm pretty excited. The cost ratio is pretty good considering the fact that the Moroccan Oil treatment retails at $40 by itself and I like that the box is quarterly so I don't have to worry about adding it to my worryingly large monthly sub box list. There is big buzz around this box and it seems that the inaugural boxes will be shipped out next week. I missed out on about all the inaugural boxes for my other subs so I'm super excited to get to be a part of this one! An item by item review will be posted as soon as I get it and we shall see how awesome it really is.

I'm really edging towards yes and I definitely subbed as soon as I could. You have to see for yourself but if you love Popsugar's Must Have Box, then this could be for you. Especially since it turns out to be cheaper in comparison.

Lip Factory?

I, as an unabashed (ok a little abashed) douchebag (with respect to box subs only), tend to go for the big shiny companies for my boxes. However, there is one sub that has been popping up in a lot of forums and has gotten shining reviews on makeuptalk and it has me wondering whether I should go for it despite the not great looking website. What sub is this that has me in such a tizzy?

None other than Lip Factory.

Not a hugely known box but according to the items sent in the previous boxes (all listed here), there is a huge concentration on lip products, hence the name. Weirdly enough (*cough why else would I have a beauty type blog cough*), I love lip products and rarely go a week without buying or wanting something new. Seriously, I currently have about 6 colors in my purse and at least 40 on my dresser. Plus, I'm currently on a huge lip kick because I keep looking for the perfect pink, perfect red, and perfect stain. Last night, I bought Lipstick Queen's Medieval Lipstick and last week I purchased the same brand's Sinner Lipstick in Red from Birchbox. So, my addiction to lip colors is not at all understated.

I love it.

However, I took a look at the website a while ago and it didn't quite convince me that it was a legitimate company. Why? The youtube video with the laughable british accented narration was a huge marker, as well as the relatively poorly shopped images. Nevertheless, after weeks of flip/flopping and researching, I haven't seen many negative posts about this company and many posts positively brimming with love for the products sent every month. Though the boxes seem to lately be veering towards all type of makeup rather than sticking with lips only, I'm still fairly interested and at $22.00 a month, it isn't a small commitment (especially if there are added shipping charges!- EDIT: There aren't, I asked CS on facebook and the total is 22.00 exactly).

So, what to do?

Well, I think I'm gonna take the plunge and get the March box. Hopefully, it doesn't totally blow and I will have good things to say about them.

Wish me luck peeps, I'm about to wander into the unknown of a whole new sub!

New edit 2/8: I subbed and did so through paypal. I was told that March boxes were shipping out this week but I'm yet to get a tracking number. I also got a referral code but the page seemed sort of.... not.... refined. So, I'm definitely trying out this month but with the addition of the FabFitFun box to my life, I'm guessing this'll be a one-time thing.

Influenster Sweetheart VoxBox Review

After a huge debacle of box lostness that included me emailing Influenster and the USPS because my box apparently hadn't been delivered, it was a freakin' miracle to have it found in a bush outside my neighbor's house. The box was upside down and looked like trash but I just HAD to make sure and so I walked over and slowly grabbed it (I'm deathly afraid of spiders) and lo and behold!!! It was my box!!!!  My mail guy is the best so I know he didn't do this. My guesses? The monday mail carrier is a different person (I know this as a fact) and HATES ME or it was incorrectly delivered TO A BUSH because clearly I'm a squirrel that lives in a tree but has a bush PO BOX.

Nevertheless, the box is finally and safely in my hands. I was incredibly happy to qualify for Influenster's Sweetheart VoxBox and even happier when I finally opened it. It was chock full with awesome and actual useful items (this is super important because I hate being excited about getting something for free and then finding that I can't use it or just don't like it) that I've tested almost as soon as I ripped open the box in anticipation! There were four items in this box (full disclosure: this box was given to me for free from Influenster [follow the link to sign up and start getting free stuff])

On to the item review:

Lovin' it like McDonald's ;)
OLAY® Va-Va-Vivid! Powered Contour Cleansing System:

This is the biggest item in the box and I was super excited to get it. I'd been to target earlier in the week and actually purchased the 'fresh effects' moisturizer (12.99 @ target) because it was advertised as a creme/gel combo that helps moisturize without feeling heavy or clogging pores. So, to get this was exciting. I tried this immediately and I'm pretty satisfied. The vibrating brush isn't painful to sensitive skin like mine and it does feel like its doing it's job of deep cleaning my skin. The cleanser (which does have a weird gray color) is sort of strong and does leave my skin feeling sort of tight so moisturizer afterwards is a MUST. Plus, I got some in my eye and it hurt like hell!! So, be careful but do try it because it works ;) 9/10

Retail Price: $12.99

I couldn't find a better pic so for the fuzziness, my apologies  ;P

Secret Clinical Strength Stress Response in Serene Citrus Scent:

Getting free deodorant doesn't sound like a great present but it is a good thing to have lying around. I haven't actually tried it yet because I'm going to wait until I run out of my current deodorant but apparently this specific deodorant responds to stress induced sweating and ummm smell (ewww). It does sound like it'll do the job and I will definitely be using it. 7/10

Retail Price: $7.99-9.99

Not Your Mother's ® She's A Tease (™) Volumizing Hairspray:

I actually got the sample size so the pic isn't representative of what I got but it is representative of what you can buy. It's touted as a volumizing hairspray infused with apple blossom and bamboo (great combo) and while the smell of the spray isn't as heavenly as the aforementioned infusions make it seem like, the volumizing is right on point. I decided to try a quiff with this this spray and it came out perfectly without the need of extra products (unheard of!). I'm especially glad to have tried this because I'm a big old snob that doesn't typically buy hair products at the drugstore or even chain stores (we're talking online, salons, and maybe high-end boutiques) and I was very pleasantly surprised. Enough that I'll be taking the plunge and actually purchasing the full size. 10/10

Retail Price (Full Size): $6.00

Tasty?

Skinny Girl On-the-Go Bar in Greek Yogurt Blueberry Crisp:

Not my favorite item in the box because I get so many different brands of energy and diet bars that I can never tell apart. Well, except for those that taste like cardboard ass because I like to keep their names in mind so I never ever suffer the fate of tasting those goddamn things ever again! I ate this bar with trepidation but it was weirdly tasty. It didn't taste as great as say, a fudge volcan cake, but it did help stave of hunger in the middle of the day. I'm not a huge diet food customer by any measure but if I had to buy energy bars, I might be inclined to buy these though the name is a turn-off. 7/10

Retail Price: $9.99 per box of 5 bars/~$2.00 per bar.

Overall:

A pretty good box, especially considering how much it cost (nada!!!). I have a use for every item included and have actually put the items into regular rotation. All in all, a good gift from Influenster

Julep March Box Review

Unlike the many weeks of waiting I suffer through whilst waiting for my (sometimes incorrectly tagged) Birchbox, my Julep Maven box is almost always the quickest to arrive. Seriously, I usually get my items from Julep about 2 days after I order them (and with free shipping to boot!). I wasn't really expecting this box today as I actually haven't gotten a shipping email so it was all the bigger of a surprise.

In a previous post I sort-of bitched about the March selections and lo and behold, after opening my box today, I realized that the colors are fantastic!!!! Plus, as is now the custom, a special little extra gift was included!!

Saturday Surprise!
As I didn't order any add-ons this month (and I'm strangely proud of myself for not succumbing to that pleasure lol), I only got the one box (the 'It Girl'). This box includes: 3 colors ('Shenae', 'Teri', and 'Simone') and a Julep Strawberry Mint Lip Balm.

The little extra that Julep has become so good at.

So, now we go get to the good stuff, the individual item reviews:

Left to Right: Simone, Shenae, Teri

Simone

Great texture, very on-trend pastel color (which is the theme of this month's box). Simone is billed as a 'soft pastel lilac opalescent shimmer' and I was worried that this would translate into a very sheer color but it doesn't. It has full coverage (with 2 coats) and a perfect easter egg-y purple color that'll be great for my "spring rainbow" nail theme ;) Only qualm: it is very VERY similar to Julep's  own 'Renee' (which I also own). 9/10

Shenae

Side note (aka nothing to do with the actual color review), I'm pretty sure this color is named after the actress on 90210 (newer version, not Brenda, Brandon, Dylan version) which incidentally was just cancelled after 5 seasons (seriously, that show got weird as fuck). Ok, on to the color: it's a minty green! Official description: pastel mint green opalescent shimmer. I was worried that it would look exactly like Butter London's 'Fiver' and I think I was... right (except for the added shimmer that 'Fiver' doesn't have). BUT I am so very into this color this season, so having two like colors isn't a huge deal to me. It's incredibly on trend and the formula is consistent with Julep's other colors. I love it. 10/10

Teri

'Teri' is described as a 'tropical coral pink creme' and I'm excited about trying it on. I haven't really been into girly pinkish colors but lately, I'm all about the coral lip plus I even bought a coral colored dress for my cousin's upcoming nuptials. That said, it does bear a resemblance to other previous Julep colors but it is a brighter and maybe more saturated coral than Butter London's 'Kerfuffle' (the next color on my to-buy list) and I also... love it ;) 10/10

Julep Strawberry-Mint Lip Balm:

This month's special little extra is a strawberry mint lip balm that smells as good as it sounds. It's a clear pink in the tube and super sheer so it isn't like Fresh's Sugar Lip Treatments that deposits strong build-able amounts of color (and these are yet another obsession of mine, I purchased the new 'Petal' color a couple of days ago at Sephora) but it's a great little extra that will definitely go in my purse for any chapped lips moments (they happen more often that you'd think!) Plus, I'm definitely surprised because I expected something like a candy. Lip balm is always welcome. 10/10

Overall:

March's box was surprisingly awesome. I'm a complete Julep devotee and this month has only strengthened my current love for this sub. I find it hard to skip a month and, so far, I haven't found a reason to do so. I'm definitely satisfied with this box to the point of actual happiness (very very hard to achieve lol) 10/10

Ok, for this illustrious saturday, I have my March Julep Maven box to share (just got it in the mail today!!!) and my much abused and finally found and safe Influenster Sweetheart VoxBox !!! Both have some awesome stuff and I will be sharing said stuff as well as rating it. Whilst watching an 'adventure time' marathon on cartoon network because that's just how I roll.

Starlooks!

I WON A BOX!!!!!!!!! Since, before this special event, I'd scarcely or well really never won anything, it's safe to say that I'm super beyond excited! I entered a contest on MakeupTalk and then totally forgot about it. I'd never won anything and thought I wouldn't any time soon but then a couple of weeks ago, I got an email saying I'd won a box!! Today, said box was delivered (and very quickly, I might add) and after my celebratory prance and dance, I got down to business: testing and swatching the colors ;)

Starlooks is a smaller company based on the west coast and they're a monthly subscription box. Their individual take on the eponymous sub box is that the Starlooks Starbox is first and foremost a makeup box and the items included (at least in my box [the February box]) are full sized and branded by the company. So, you won't get the surprise of a Dior mascara sample or a YSL lip sample (oh god I love both of those brands) but you will get full sized makeup items. However, there is apparently no profile and the items are picked out to fit a range of different skin tones. While I applaud their intention, I do have to say that that seems pretty hard. After swatching my Disney/Sephora Storylooks Vol.2 eyeshadow box (yes! I bought as soon as it came out and there is a post on it coming!), I realized that a lot of the colors seemed to look better on olive and darker skinned ladies. Since my skin is lighter, some of the shades look weird on my coloring and that makes me unsure of whether Starlooks can really maintain a one for all box.

As I've mentioned, I got the February 'Lauren Clark' Special Edition curated box and it is pretty great for such a small package. On to the reviews:

Princess Diaries Eye Liner:

This particular pot of shimmery light pink eyeliner/cream shadow/ shadow base looks incredibly, well, pink, when you first look at it but the possibilities are great. I'm considering doing a pink based eye tomorrow (hopefully, I don't make myself look sick as I did with a fuchsia makeupforever shadow years ago) and I love the cream consistency. I'm a huge fan of Benefit's Creaseless cream shadows so they'll be my base for comparison. Overall, I'm really excited to try it and the name is awesome as it shares the name of one of my favorite movies when I was 15.  10/10

Barbie Fluid Blush:

Super bright pink fluid blush. I love it. I've slowly been getting into blush and usually wear Nars' 'Orgasm' shade but I love the idea of a cream blush and it's blend-ability. A definite good surprise ;D 10/10

Pink Oasis Lip Gloss:

This gloss is apparently a light pink and almost lilac shade but in the tube, it looks purple! Fortunately, when I tried it on, it didn't. It's a good color for adding a little bit of extra shine at the center of the lips and it'll definitely be in spring-time rotation. 9/10

Tipsy Lip Pencil:

This lip pencil came in my box but isn't listed in the item description card so I guess either someone made a tiny (but great) mistake or this was meant as an awesome little extra. Either way, the color is gorgeous and really sealed the deal on my loving this box. I'm a lip color fiend and any pink colored addition to my collection is welcomed with a party at the very least! 11/10

Overall:

Though I didn't expect to, I loved this box. Winning it for free wasn't bad at all (understatement alert!) but I was very pleasantly surprised when I actually opened the box and saw what was inside. After the lack of items I personally like in a couple of the boxes I received this week, this box was a great little addition to my collection and I'm very seriously considering becoming a monthly subscriber. The February box is great so 10/10!

Box:  Starlooks

Price/Frequency: $15/month

Shipping fees/taxes: Apparently there is an additional 1.98 shipping fee which is apparently in accordance with USPS prices. Regarding taxes, I'm not completely sure but I'd guess that California residents will have to get stuck with having to shell out that extra 8.75% (ugh so high!)

Perks? There is a point system that seems pretty similar to Birchbox, you get a $10 discount for every 100 points you happen to get together.

Recommend? From this box, I have to say I would. I'm really liking everything that was included but I think I'd have to see other previous boxes to make an informed decision. ;)

Glossybox Feb Box Review (get your Pitchforks Ready)!!

With the amount of hate it's getting, Glossybox is kind of the Anne Hathaway of the sub box world right now. They didn't really do anything wrong with February's box and I actually got it IN February plus the items aren't even close mind-blowing like January's unprecedented super awesome box but they're passable.

A big point of contention has been Missha's snail juice (yes, really) facial mask. Apparently, the juice/slime what have you, is seemingly forcibly extracted from said Snails instead of organically collected. I am a 100% animal rights supporter and wouldn't personally use the mask precisely because of these allegations but I wouldn't write off the whole box because of it. I'm also very lucky in the fact that I didn't personally receive it (I got the evologie blemish creme samples) and so, my dislike might be reduced by the fact that it wasn't sent to me.

Since, everyone's box tends to vary, I'm going to list out my samples (ugh, I forgot to mention that my glossybox mag and 'nail rock' nail wraps were missing but my email was very promptly responded to and I was promised the missing items would be sent to me as soon as they could) but no pics because I didn't get all of the samples and don't want the image to be taken as a full on box.

Furthermore, the theme of this month's box was International Style and I'm guessing this should be reflected in the items included in the box.

On to the individual item review:

Bulgari Eau Parfumée Au Thé Blanc Soap:

What is it with the frickin soap and these boxes? Why are you guys so intent on sending soap? Soap isn't a luxury, it's an essential. Thus, I always buy soap and yes I buy luxury soaps but I don't need them in my subs, I want makeup or hair or skin related things, not SOAP!!!!!!!! Despite my hate, the smell is ok I guess and they'll be great to pack for a trip. 7/10

Full Size $30 (we got a seeming sample size but I'm not sure how many bars or sizes of bars make up a full size so I'll restrain myself from trying to calculate an approximate value)

Da Vinci Cosmetics Shimmer Powder:

Touted as a "shimmering mineral powder", this shimmer powder seems, I don't know, almost useless. It doesn't seem to really serve a purpose and honestly, the packaging and heretofore unknown brand make it seem like a cheap addition to an already less than stellar box. I got my powder in 'Earth' and I have no idea if I'll be using it or not but I'm going to be completely honest and say it isn't my favorite thing in the box. 4/10

Full size $15 (Apparently, the one we got is a full size)

Evologie eSystem Duo Pack Intensive Blemish Serum & Stay Clear Cream:

The sample size for this item (2 small tubes) is pretty small but the types of serum & cream are pretty interesting to me since I still suffer from pretty badass blemishes. Honestly though, the sample seems on the cheap side. 7/10

Full size $15

Lisi Liquid Line Eyeliner:

So, this item is listed in my box list but I actually got a Lisi Color Glaze Lip Gloss in '2 Timer', a kind of rose gold shade. I'm kind of glad, I didn't get the eyeliner since I don't typically wear eyeliner and already have so many that I haven't even used but I have to be honest that this brand is another unknown and the listed prices make it look, pardon my words, cheap as hell. This looks like stuff you buy at a bargain bin in an off-brand beauty supply store! I'm not happy but the gloss is OK so I'll try to keep an open mind. Though, I do understand why so many peeps are underwhelmed this month. 5/10

Full Size (eyeliner) $7.00

Nail Rock Nail Wraps:

Unfortunately, this particular item was missing from my box. However, I've had the pleasure to buy these before and unlike a lot of people, I actually really like them. I don't tend to do nail art on myself (I don't even own a striping brush which is like the most basic of tools) and these stick on nail wraps (not nails! just foils that you file down to your nail making it seem like you have a cool design on them) are pretty great. I'd never ever wear stick-on nails but I'm definitely a happy nail rock customer. I emailed gb as soon as I noticed that these weren't included and promptly received an email stating that they'll be sent to me which is awesome since I really REALLY love these :D Basically, the only item that I love wasn't even in the box but future me will give these a 10/10.

Full Size $8.00

Overall:

Seriously not the best box or even close. I love the nail rock and like the bulgari soap but these items are the only things that save this box from being a total bust. The Da Vinci Cosmetics, Lisi, and Evologie items are things that I don't need or really like as well as being from completely unknown (to me) brands that honestly don't seem that great. If future boxes tend to lean towards these types of brands (or heaven forbid, go the way of GB Canada), then I'll be forced to cancel. One of the major reasons that I'm not super mad is because, thanks to points, I got this box for free. If I'd had to pay $21 for the pleasure of stuff I don't actually feel is even worth the $21 I paid (I'd only buy the nail wraps and they're $8 at Ulta), then I'd possibly be off the rails mega pissed. That said, I've really loved all of my previous boxes, so here's hoping that this month is a minor slip-up but I can see how it's a huge letdown to all of the people that subbed last month with the incredibly awesome man repeller box.
